Rimini’s hinterland: discovering the Conca Valley

We are in Montescudo, where history and tradition overlook the Conca Valley, which surrounds Rimini.

Popular for its beaches and nightlife, Rimini is also rich of traditions and culture.
Originally born as a military district for the Romans, then a key commercial hub for the ancient Roman Empire, from its Augustus Arch to the Tiberius Bridge.
The “Fiera di Rimini” is a focal point for many business events, as one of the most important exhibition centers in Italy, that make the city vibrant and busy also during the winter season.

If you’d like to get to know the hills of Romagna, you could come to visit Montescudo, a small medieval  village, only few kilometers from Rimini’s center, probably founded from Etruscans. Noteworthy are the Ethnographic Museum, the Peace Church and the Historical Museum of the Eastern Gothic Line.

Would you like to explore the Conca Valley? You will be spoiled for choice! Visit the villages where once the Malatesta and the Montefeltro families lived.
